Anthem of the Angels

It saddens me to inform you that my Nana, Dorothy Helen Guzzi, passed away on Friday August 13th, 2010. She was 85 years old. Nana suffered from 4 strokes in the past 2 months, and her health rapidly deteriorated from there. I always thought my Nana could survive an Atomic bomb blast, unfortunately, she finally succumbed to those strokes. I pray she is in heaven with God, watching down on us until we can see her again. She lived a long life, and was loved by her family. She had a wonderful personality, and could always make you laugh. Two song lyrics come to mind when I think of Nana.

"Sing the anthem of the angels And say the last goodbye ..... "

"Slipping through our fingers,
Like the sands of time
Promises made, every memory saved
Has reflections in my mind"

I will always smile at those memories,
and they will warm my heart forever.
We love you Nana, and will miss you always.

Lucy turns 2

Last weekend, my niece Ms. Lucy Elizabeth Anderson turned 2! Her party was a lot of fun, and she got lots of fun presents.

It was a day for friends, familiy, cupcakes and presents!

The birthday girl!

This is the cake my mom and I made. Lucy loves Caillou, so my mom ordered a screen print for a cake! The screen print was very fragile, and we were worried about it cracking! Fortunately, it didn't!

Lucy's birthday present, a play kitchen!

Lucy's play buddy, Aiden! Aiden and his parents came for the festivities!

Cupcakes I made for Lucy's birthday! I tried to make red iciing, but it came out hot pink instead.....still trying to figure that one out....

I made some neat dragonfly cupcakes!

The birthday girl opening up presents!

A few weekends ago, some family from Boston came to DC for a long weekend. We came into the city to meet them. We went alllllllllll over the place! We visited the Capitol, The White House, Memorials, and even went up into the Washington Monument. It was a long crazy day, but it was lots of fun.
