For our anniversary, Jack & I had pictures done. They were taken by our friend Mike at Morby Photography. They took our engagement and wedding photos. We did our pictures up in PA at St. Peter's Village. It is about 30 minutes away from West Chester. It was so much fun. Growing up in PA, I had never been there, but it was awesome. Lots of rock jumping, trees, streams, and a quaint little village.

The beauty of Autumn

It's that time of the year when hundreds of colors fill our surroundings.....yellow, orange, brown, red, green....just to name a few! Despite the inevitable oncoming of winter and super cold weather approaching, this time of the year is so pretty, and makes you pause and forget the world around you! It is even said looking at fall colors helps lower your stress level!

Here are a few pictures outside our house, and around our street in the Dc metro area.

We put all the leaves from our yard on the side walk to be picked up and cleared the lawn. By the next day, the yard was full of leaves again!

Baby Flynn visits East Coast!

Meet baby Flynn. Isn't he handsome? Jack's sister and our family welcomed Flynn to the world in August. This was my first time meeting him. Everyone else had seen him in California where they live. Flynn made his first first apperance on the East Coast in the end of October. Kristen, Justin & Flynn arrived the day we departed for our Dominican vacation, but we were lucky to be able to see him for a few days when we returned. Right before they were about to leave!

Flynn was the star of the show when he was in the DC area, and everyone wanted some Flynn time!

This year, Jack & I went on vacation to the Dominican Republic. We went there two years ago. We decided to stay at the same resort. It is called the Excellence. Believe me.....it is very excellent. We were there for a week of pure sun-filled blissed filled with sand, pooside and a non-stop supply of fruity beverages. I was glad to be going back to the states, but sad to leave. We had a great time, and we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary there, it was fun!

A Year of Marriage

Please apologize for the sudden posting. I haven't been around for two weeks or so.....

We did it! We survived our first year of marriage! hahaha.

But really, we can't believe it has been a year already. It is so crazy how fast time flies by. We were married October 24th, 2009 in West Chester, PA. Here is a year of Jack & Mel. We celebrated our 1st anniversary in the Dominican Republic....ordering room service :-)
