Joys of a dog owner

Oh Guinness. We are still having some issues with him. Nothing that is fixable. He broke his crate trying to escape. As much as the shepherd rescue says he is crate trained..........he needs to be RE-crate trained. We have been practicing with him. Before we started RE-crate training, we left him out for a few hours while we went out. He hasn't shown any signs of house destruction. Until Monday night.....

We came home, and we found this......

He tore off part of the door frame from our front door, and tunneled through the drywall trying to get to us when we left. Poor doggie. That is when training started.

He is a very good dog. We are still working with him even though he is well behaved, he still needs some correction. He also isn't eating as much as he should. We took him to the vet, and he is healthy. I don't know if it is a depression, stubbornness or what. My friend Paul is a K9 handler, and said when he is hungry, he will eat. Hopefully he does....

Guinness: Part II

Guinness offically came home with to our house yesterday. I picked him up yesterday afternoon. He is still a bit shy, and we need to work on training, but that will all come in goodtime. He is friendly with other dogs, and if anyone in the area wants to do a doggie playdate, let us know!!! He is very sweet, and actually afraid of our cat Gracie! It is so funny!

We gave him his first bath today. He did so well! I think he liked the fact he even got a little massage out of the deal while Jack & I got devoured by mosquitos!

Camp Cadet 2011

This June was my 4th year at Pennsylvania State Police Northern Tier Camp Cadet in Mansfield, PA. I always have fun with my counselor friends up there, and after a couple of days when the crying kids realize that they are having fun, the kids are a good time too.

My co-counslers: Autumn & Chels

Guinness

Please meet Guinness Gibson. He is the newest addition to our family. We are adopting him from All Shepherd Rescue. He is about a year old, and such a sweet heart. We will get to pick him up in about a week after we get our floors replaced from the house flood. We are very excited for him to join the Gibson Crew.
