2011 Review

In a review of 2011, lots of things happened. Some good, some bad. Here is a review of our 2011 year.

January:

Our niece Maggie was born

Feb:

Melissa donated 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love

We traveled to New Hampshire to go snowboarding

June:

Our house flooded! Ahhh!

July:

We adopted a giant furry shepherd toddler named Guinness

August:

Melissa travels to Wyoming to conquer the Grand Teton in a mountaineering expedition in a charity climb for Big City Mountaineers! 13,770 feet and she made it to the top

We visited California to see Jack's sister Kristen and her family to celebrate our newphew Flynn's 1st birthday

With some friends, we go whitewater rafting in WV on the New River Gorge!

October:

We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary, the cotton anniversary!

We both purchased new cars!

December:

We got to see lots of family around the holiday season!

WC Alumni girls 2011

This past weekend I had my annual high school girls get together. I am so fortunate to have such great girlfriends, and to have a bond that has lasted all these years. We may live all over the United States and  have busy lives, but during the Christmas season we try to make to make a good effort to see each other. This year is our 9th Annual Christmas!!!! Holy Crap!!

I love getting together with these special ladies. We talk, laugh, giggle, and just have so much fun together. It is like no time has passed between us. We even try to have a yearly sleepover during the summer at a different girls house every year. I don't have any other girlfriends that I can do such things with: staying up late laughing, and reminiscing over great times and memories. I am so blessed to know these girls, and am thankful everyday for their friendship.
